During our technological exploration and feasibility phase, we considered and tested a host of the latest generation blockchain and distributed ledger technologies such as Hyperledger variations Fabric, Sawtooth, and Burrow. Additionally, we researched JPMorgan Quorum as a possibility. Since the Fluzcoin protocol isn’t merely facilitating simple cryptocurrency transactions, such as the Bitcoin blockchain does, we needed a blockchain infrastructure that supported more complex smart contract scripting. 

Furthermore, due to the need for higher throughput and our focus on user privacy, it was decided that a permissioned blockchain was required for Fluzcoin
